Acne Skin Care Tips To Achieve Healthy Clear Skin
Acne skin care should be targeted at keeping your skin bacteria free, removing dead skin cells & helping to heal your skin.
A skin care routine will not cure your acne but will treat the redness caused by acne inflammation & clear any minor spots & blemishes.
The ideal acne skin care routine should consist of:
Steaming
Cleansing
Treating blackheads & inflamed skin
Moisturizing
A harsh cleansing routine can irritate your skin or cause it to become oily or dry out. Avoid using products that are petroleum or oil based and use only soaps or cleansers that are pH neutral. Try using natural products such as aloe vera, witch hazel, tea tree oil & herbal botanicals instead.
Tea tree oil soap is best for cleansing your face. This soap will not only cleanse the skin but also condition and nourish it. Work a small amount of the soap into a rich lather in your hands & then massage gently into your face using circular movements. Rinse off after one minute
Immediately after cleansing apply a moisturizer to replace natural oils that are lost during cleansing. Aloe vera gel is a good moisturizer. Its benefits include:
soothing the skin
antibacterial, antifungal & antiviral properties
healing irritated, broken & damaged skin
reducing redness & inflammation
speeding up healing.
To treat blackheads & inflamed skin, use the following:
tea tree oil
apple cider vinegar diluted with water
chamomile tea face masks
essential oils (e. g. clove, geranium, patchouli, lavender and geranium)
Never touch your skin except when cleaning it. Never squeeze, pop or pick – this may cause infection & even result in scars.
